Agnese GemTS

Agnese Gemetto
Multidisciplinary artist, world‑builder, and creator of symbolic and digital spaces. Moving between myth, territory, and technology.
From urban collectives to virtual galleries. From the streets of Turin to the islands of Helsinki. From the gesture to the digital metamorphosis. This is my path.

Who I am

I developed my artistic career amidst collective performances, street art, and transformed urban spaces. My research developed over ten years in Turin, a stint in Spain, and several stays in France, culminating in seven years in Finland, where I discovered a culture grounded in respect, collaboration, and continuous growth.
In Helsinki I taught, exhibited, worked in shared studios, and was a member of Finnish and international artists' associations.
Today I intertwine personal myth, symbolic narration, digital art, augmented reality, avatars, curation, and territorial projects such as ARche Project and Polku.

FROM THE ORIGINS TO TODAY
My research began at the art high school, between black and white drawings black, primary colors and the first student exhibitions and festivals.
Albertina Academy
During During my years at the Academy of Fine Arts in Turin, I became interested in performance , street art , and the reworking of pre-existing images , intervening on pages and printed materials with marks and layers.
Videos and collectives in Turin
I worked as a videomaker, video performer, and VJ , and was part of the RETE association alongside artists like Jean-Paul Charles and Ivan Fassio. It was a period of intense, shared experimentation, and constant transformation.
The North as a metamorphosis
Then came Helsinki, and with it a true artistic renaissance.
Seven years immersed in a culture that values silence, collaboration, and deep research.
There I taught , exhibited , worked in shared ateliers and made
part of Finnish and international artists' associations .
It is in Finland that my work has transformed: avatars, virtual galleries, XR projects, digital narratives and
a new relationship with the landscape, the light, the time.
A place that redefined my way of creating and being in the world.

PAST AND FUTURE PROJECTS

TESTA SEME
TestaSeme is the archetype that founds the entire symbolic constellation of my work:
a primordial sign that I traced at twenty-two and which, since then, continues to manifest itself as an autonomous entity, bearer of its own mythology.
It is the symbol of symbols, an alchemical matrix in which black and white, light and shadow, origin and return interpenetrate.
in a single cyclical form. It does not represent: it acts. It offers itself as a threshold, as a generative principle, as a figure that preserves and renews the secret rhythm of nature and its metamorphoses.

THE ANTI
MAGAZINE PROJECT
This project began as an act of visual disobedience: intervening in fashion magazines to dismantle the imagery that
has shaped and distorted the female body for decades. Through cuts, overwriting, and graphic metamorphoses, the images are freed from their advertising destiny and restored to their original power. It is an alchemical work on the image: a reversal of the gaze, a rite of restitution in which the body returns to symbol, presence, and possibility.
POLKU
THE PATH
Polku is an ongoing project. A narrative journey that unites territory, myth, and technology. A map that grows with me.

ARcheProject
ARcheProject
An augmented public art project that transforms Helsinki's statues into narrative portals. Through augmented reality, historical sculptures become characters, urban myths, living presences that engage with the city.
Ruby Fever
A Finnish multimedia startup I co-founded, focused on XR, avatars, virtual galleries, and digital storytelling. I oversaw creative direction, concept, visual identity, and immersive project development.
